River Walk Construction Update: Back at it...

I had to drop down to the office downtown this afternoon and thought I'd take a few happy snaps of the ongoing construction of the new addition to the San Antonio River Walk. It is looking good - even now that the water has been removed.I love the look.

That stretch of the River Walk is shaping up nicely, and I can't wait to see it opened.

Thanks for the updates.

Oh My God!! What happened to the water??? I know it's been 20 years since I've been to SA, but that's a real shock!!

Like my friends who went to Niagara Falls for the honeymoon, and guess what? The Falls had been turned off for three months for "cleanin and reinforcement!" Well, at least their honeymoon pictures were a bit different from others who went there!

Do not be alarmed: This portion of the river walk is actually being constructed as an addition to the existing thing. The river was there before, just not the walk.

If you notice a few large tubes seen going through the picture, that is where the water is. They just have it all diverted while they build up this new area.

Come on back and see it - it should be done in a year or two.
