Strange in Shell...

I occasionally stop into a Shell gas station over by where I work and this cardboard display catches my eye each time. I'm not some dope fiend and I don't own any sort of paraphernalia, but we do have HBO and such, so it isn't as if I haven't seen this type of thing before.Honestly, doesn't this guy appear to be offering you a smoke from his bong as you enter the convenience store? I know it is supposed to be some sort of chemical compound or something floating around his engine parts, but I can't help but think that Tommy Chong is going to ring up my purchases at the counter whenever I see this thing.

Strange.

  1. Nitrogen-enriched gasoline?

I'm no chemist, but normal air is 78% nitrogen, so wouldn't infusing gasoline with nitrogen be much the same as whipping air bubbles into it?

The same goes for that supposed mileage benefit you get from filling your tires with nitrogen. Does it really make that much of a difference if the gas in your tires is 100% nitrogen instead of 78%?

    I smell snake oil.
